  1. What is Shared Computer Activation (SCA) for Office 365 ProPlus, Project Online Professional, and Visio Pro for Office 365?

    Shared Computer Activation (SCA) is a product activation mode that allows multiple Office 365 ProPlus,
    Project Online Professional, and Visio Pro for Office 365 users to share the same hardware. Office 365 is
    licensed per user, so SCA helps ensure that users accessing Office 365 ProPlus, Project Online Professional,
    and Visio Pro for Office 365 are licensed appropriately. With this mode, Office 365 ProPlus, Project Online
    Professional, and Visio Pro for Office 365 natively support RDS scenarios and it is no longer necessary to
    install MSI software as a workaround. SCA can be enabled in the following deployment scenarios:
    – Customer dedicated self-hosted (on-premise)
    – Windows Azure environment
    – Dedicated third party hostedCloudJumper’s nWorkSpace solution meets Microsoft’s criterion for Customers to bring existing Office 365 Pro Plus, Project Online Professional and Visio Pro for Office 365 licensing.

  2. What Office versions support Shared Computer Activation?

    Shared Computer Activation mode works with Office 365 ProPlus, Project Online Professional, and Visio Pro for Office 365. All Office 365 plans that include Office 365 ProPlus (Pro Plus, E3 and E5), Project Online Professional, or Visio Pro for Office 365 are able to use Shared Computer Activation.

  3. What are the benefits of Shared Computer Activation for Office 365 ProPlus?

    The main outcome of SCA for Office 365 ProPlus, Project Online Professional, and Visio Pro for Office 365 is that it gives customers choice and flexibility. SCA allows customers to take advantage of existing Office 365 ProPlus, Project Online Professional, and Visio Pro for Office 365 licensing investments when deploying to the cloud.

    Customers are able to make a deployment choice between on-premises and any authorized Service Providers’ shared data center to help lower cloud infrastructure costs by letting CloudJumper use your existing Office 365 ProPlus licenses.

    You can work with CloudJumper to take advantage of SCA for Office 365 ProPlus. CloudJumper is an approved SCA for Office 365 ProPlus Program provider, allowing us to deploy your eligible Office 365 ProPlus licenses to your chosen cloud infrastructure solution.

  4. What does this mean for me?
